Just Asking you to keep your mind open on this....

My thoughts are overflowing tonight, how to help people understand the need for Medical Marijuana, because I am one of the millions of them that have a need for Medical Marijuana. I think the general public isn’t being given the current education of the benefits for those that are sick, most people here the name marijuana and think of a person just getting high. The misunderstandings that are out there, and the never ending debates and constant re-voting for it to be legal, is quite sad. YES it should be legal the question is how should it be distributed; let’s work on this thought TOGHER! This old natural medication, is greatly needed for a variety of sick people.
I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I have to deal with “numerous symptoms”. Among them is the chronic pain that I have every day is in varying degrees, and each night is a challenge to sleep.  While I was living in Colorado, I was able to give the Medical Marijuana a try. No..I didn’t smoke a joint, however that’s the typical way. Still, I can’t do that, I need to take it differently, I found it very useful and easy on my system to have a little candy, or “Tincture” (a liquid drop) before I go to bed. During this time I was also able to cut back on my prescription narcotics. My days were then better, I could walk longer, and get around on my own longer, I’ve had more good days than not. I still had to deal with “numerous symptoms”, but at least I felt alive. My family had noticed a difference, and my friends in Idaho could see a difference. I had gotten a license in Colorado and was able to get this at a “Dispensary”, the special store.  Now in parts of Colorado they are re-voting on how the Medical Marijuana should be distributed. Many Dispensaries have already had to close!! I no longer had access to the Dispensary I had gone to!!! Even worse in Idaho, no law in favor and no Dispensaries!!! Already my strength is leaving me and the pain is wearing on me. My medication intake is going back up to where it was. (I do hate to beg)
There are many deceases, and I’m not an expert on which decease is worse than the other, but I think we can all agree that cancer is one that’s on top of the list. Many cancer patients have used medical marijuana, and they didn’t just get through their treatments with this, but survived because of it. Some needed to use this along with the chemotherapy and/or radiation to help with the sickness that came from those awful procedures. Others have needed to use this more for their main source of healing and survival. And because of this wonderful Canibus Sativa Natural Herb they are now living.
I personally know of someone that recovered completely from breast cancer. This was amazing because she had been through this years before, having had breast cancer previously, it had come back even worse. She was one, in which the doctors felt she should start saying her goodbyes to her family, recovery this time wasn’t very hopeful. Nevertheless they encouraged her to proceed with the typical chemotherapy and Radiation.
She continued with those treatments however thank goodness this person knew exactly what she really needed. And that was the Medical Marijuana. She got a license, which was needed for in Colorado, for the Medical Marijuana. Proceeded to use what she needed and not only got through all those awful treatments, but is now cancer free!!
I admire her strength and determination in taking what she knew what would work for her. However even she, is now struggling to be able to continue with her medication to keep herself cancer free – THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!
Thank you for reading

Annette Funicello

I felt so sad when I saw this on the internet. I loved to watch HER in her fun and cute movies. She's so
pretty. I kept trying to find out how she is TODAY, but not much info. out there except that she's
having a hard time due to her advanced Multiple Sclerosis. I know what smoke can do to someone who's vulnerable, I've been through something similar. But not nearly as drastic has what she just went through.
I remember in or home in Idaho, the neighbors garage (accross the street from us) caught on fire. This was in the summer, so the windows were open and all the smoke came into the house. David was at work and I felt so helpless, I couldn't get a hold of him and I was too weak to drive. Of course I shut the windows as fast as I could, but it had already affected my breathing. I was forced to hold still, before my breathing became even more difficult, and trying no to go into a panic attack.
In other words I can feel a little bit of her pain, I hope Annette can get through this, she's one of the
first people I looked into on how they deal with their Multiple Sclerosis.

Kamrons Birthday

Wow It's MARCH!!

Well Kamron turned a year old Feb.7th and had more fun with his balloons then his presents I think. But his little tummy still not liking certain foods and staying up most of the night, being very unhappy(and mommy also). Tried soy milk, but guess he wasn't ready for that yet. Sooo rice milk is finally the winner for now - YEAHHH!

David's been able to ski (while working) at Powderhorn. The crew there HAS to take breaks, and are allowed to ski on their breaks. Now that just seems like absolute torture to me,LOL. Yep, my old man has it ruff.

I've got about five projects going right now, and lovin them all. Still learning Spanish (still a beginner), doing the family history(it really is FUN!),writing and putting some of my poems & short stories in a book for family, friends(or anyone interested) and hope to get it done before the year is over. Also putting pictures together in different ways(onto dvd for fun, scrapebook, & more), oh ya and wanting to cook some tasy meals. And on, and on, and on...

Some days I do get very, very tired, but all's good.

Dad's Cornet

It was absolutely wonderful to hear Dad’s cornet being played. It sounded fantastic, no one would ever know it had been sitting in its case for years(by the way, it is a cornet). I took it to a friend of mine, whose husband plays all sorts of trumpets and cornets. He loves to play, and plays professionally whenever he can, while being a full time teacher. As he played, I felt so close to dad. I could easily picture myself and dad years ago, when dad was showing me how to play a few notes. Dad picked up his cornet as if he was saying hello to an old friend. It became a part of him in no time, he put his three fingers on the 1st 2nd and 3rd valves and started to play a quick melody. I watched him with admiration, wanting to pick it up like he did and simply play effortlessly. However I hadn’t understood the real effort that I would need to make one single note. I may have been full of hot air, but I still couldn’t blow that wonderful instrument just right. I therefore gave up pretty quickly on playing the cornet. Dad could play so easily, and yet the playing came to a stop. I think it would have been wonderful, to have had a family music night, with Dad playing his cornet and mom playing the piano. That would have been pretty cool.

A HAPPY HALLOWEEN

There were plenty of events for the kids. It was fun to watch them enjoy 3-4 days of halloween fun. With games to win prizes, a puppet show, fun in the pumpkin patch picking our pumpkins and going down a huge slide!! Then of course the Trick or treating - which started in the afternoon here with the downtown stores giving out candy. And then continued on until past dark. MAN OH MAN, I think all the kids got their holiday supply of candy, thats for sure. All the kids costumes were so fun to see. Of course our grandkids were the cutest. LOL

A Beautiful Drive

Nice Drive to Gateway

A couple days ago David & I decided it was time to go for a nice drive, just the two of us. David picked out the perfect place to go. Gateway, CO., and driving through that caynon area in the fall was very pretty. I took scenic pictures of the beautiful bright yellow trees, and the red on these mesa mountains is what you might see in Arizona. Later on we saw two different herds of elk. That was pretty cool, there were a couple of young ones playing with each other and running back and forth. Love the peaceful days.

It's been such a busy summer, and wow it's about over. Can't believe it's the the
1st of Sept. Sure enjoyed the Marshall Reunion in Utah. The daughter has been very gung hoo about saving money at the grocery store with coupons. She's done abolutey fantastic. It's been fun trying to keep up. The hubby's been workin hard driving long hours, and that's no exageration.
So I guess is was about time I checked out Grand Junction's hospital. It's actually very nice, it was time I went to the emergency room, and of course stayed there - ooh about four hours. They were pretty thorough, got to have an EKG & an MRI. They had to rule out that I really didn't have a stroke - and NO I didn't. Just another M.S. episode. It just came about a little different than the others that I've had, so it threw me off also. The numbness and dizziness usually comes and goes. However the wonderful pain in the head hasn't bothered me that bad and come on that strong and quickly for a very long time. But I got the medication I needed. So I should be A-OK in about 2-6 weeks. I was so grateful to my beautiful daughter for being there, we were keeping the happy thoughts flowing. And thank you so much Kim for helping with the grandkids so Kristina could see to her mother, since the hubby was out of town. Now I'm back to super slow mode. But that's OK, I've got plenty of my hobbies to keep me on the up side.

zip a dee doo dah

This used to be one of David's favorite songs when he was young. So I pulled it up one day on youtube and played if for Trey. Now he loves to have me play it for him ALL THE TIME!! And actually I don't mind at all, I kinda like it myself.
